RedDot Design Award ceremony in Essen, Germany the culture capital of Europe 2010

On July 5th the award ceremony of the 18. RedDot Design Awards took place in Essen. The founder and night`s host Prof. Dr. Peter Zec guided all the visitors through the sold out event. All winners of the RedDot Design Award joined the evening but only the „best of the best“ were honoured on the stage by the international jury. Besides MAHLKÖNIG with the ProM other high profile products as e.g. the Merceds Benz SLS or surfwear by Neilpryde, the surf idol himself was present, were decorated. An interesting cultural programme with the young pianist Nikolai Tokarev playing parts of Peter Tschaikowsky’s, Swanlake and in the second break the Aalto ballet showed scenes from „La vie en rose“, perfected the evening.

After the ceremony shuttle buses directed the visitors to “Zeche Zollverein“, the RedDot design Award museum, for the „designers night“. In the museum all awarded products of this year and the previous years could be appraised. This museum is an absolute must for all design freaks.

Christian Klatt, Product Manager, and Jörg Krahl, Marketing Manager, received the RedDot Design certificate for the MAHLKÖNIG ProM Allround Grinder. We are proud of being selected again this year as one of the best products out of 12.000. Our demand for an excellent design has been honoured once again and combines perfectly our demand for high quality products.
