MAHLKOENIG supports Baristi at this years WBC in Atlanta:
MAHLKÖNIG congratulates the finalists of this years World Barista Championship. The new WBC champion is Gwilym Davies from the UK, 2nd place Sammy Piccolo from Canada and 3rd Michael Phillips from the USA. 4th, 5th and 6th are Ireland's Colin Harmon, Lee Jong Hoon Rep. of Korea and Hungary's Attilar Molnar.
From 51 countries competing 28 baristas used a MAHLKÖNIG K30 Vario or K30 TWIN espresso grinder for the preparation of their drinks during the 3 days of the championship. This is a new record!
During the last day of the event MAHLKÖNIG donated a K30 Vario special design edition grinder to charity in a raffle, which was a great success. Over 300 tickets were sold and the money (around 2000 US$) goes to the Songwa Community project, providing school money to orphans at the school next to our coffee farm in Tanzania.
