SONGWA – Our commitment to another world
Probat, a producer of coffee roasting machines, equipment and plants from Germany, MAHLKÖNIG and the Italian producer of espresso machines, La Marzocco, jointly operate the Songwa coffee farm in Tanzania. This unique project focuses on coffee and its production. The Great Rift Valley in Tanzania is an excellent choice as a location for this because it offers an incredible potential for the production of exceptional high quality coffee. That convinced the three experienced partner companies to supply this opportunity to clients, employees and other members of the industry.
The vision of Songwa is to bring people to coffee origins in a meaningful way, to expose them more closely to the intricacies of growing, processing and marketing of eco-friendly coffee in developing countries. The schedule for the extremely diverse education and training program includes excursions to Tanzania as well as practical internships and scientific research in collaboration with national and foreign universities.
