After nearly 25 years in the hospitality business around South Africa, Equipment Cafe was founded in 2017 to create a more focused approach to specialty coffee equipment solutions after falling in love with the industry. They’ve been partnered with Mahlkönig for over 15 years, with their relationship predating the formation of the newer company.
Like Mahlkönig, Equipment Cafe is heavily involved in the specialty coffee community, sponsoring coffee events and competitions to better serve their customers. Their diverse team also prioritizes relationship building in order to better understand the exact right equipment fit.
They also offer full-service aftersales support with a parts program and have an active social media presence to show off how they can help with all coffee brewing solutions. Mahlkönig’s Grind-by-Weight technology is a favorite for Equipment Cafe after experiencing the E80S GbW grinder performance on bar.
